The Cardinals would keep the pressure on the Yellow Jackets in the early stages of the second half, extending their lead to 26 points on a pair of Redman free-throws with 13:34 to play.  Cedarville would mount a mini rally cutting the Cardinal lead to 71-54 with 6:21 left in regulation, before SVSU was able to push their advantage to 19 points on a Foster free-throw with just 2:28 to play.  The Yellow Jackets would rally one more time late, cutting the final SVSU advantage to 88-76 as time expired.

The Cardinals improve to 2-3 overall on the season with the win, while Cedarville falls to 3-2.  SVSU will return to action on December 1 when they host Lake Superior State University in their 2011-12 GLIAC opener at James E. O'Neill Arena.
