UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University tight end Mitchell DeBrincat and long snapper Ryan Wennerstrom were named to the 2023 NCAA Division II Football Academic All-District team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).

DeBrincat saw the field in 10 games for the Cardinals this season and finished with five receptions. His season high was two catches that he made against Indianapolis on September 23.

Wennerstrom appeared in all 11 games for SVSU as the team's long snapper. He recorded three tackles on special teams.

Select Academic All-District honorees will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America selections will be announced on January 23, 2024.
