Mike O'Horo Adds GLIAC Player of the Week to 2023 Season Resume

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- Saginaw Valley State University quarterback Mike O'Horo was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week by the league office on Monday afternoon.

The Boardman, Ohio native had a career day in the season finale as he totaled a career-best in passing with 300 yards through the air in a 38-21 road win over Michigan Tech. He was 24-of-30 passing with two touchdown passes while adding another on the ground in the winning effort. O'Horo accounted for 343 yards of offense, helping the Cardinals to a two-game winning streak to finish the 2023 season.

This is the first Player of the Week award for O'Horo. It is also the first award on the offensive side of the ball. SVSU earned four total conference weekly awards this season with Alfred Dailey Jr., Elijah Gordon, and Micah Cretsinger getting selected on defense this year.

The Cardinals finished the season on a two-game winning streak to record a 6-5 record overall and a 3-3 mark in conference play.
