Bryan Jones to Attend Indianapolis Colts Rookie Minicamp

INDIANAPOLIS -- Former SVSU Football linebacker Bryan Jones will have his shot to make an NFL roster, as he has been invited to the rookie minicamp for the Indianapolis Colts.

Jones will participate in the team's rookie minicamp that runs from May 11-13 and compete for a chance to sign on as an undrafted free agent.

Bryan ranks third on the all-time tackles list at SVSU, racking-up 403 in his career. He totaled over 100 tackles in his first three seasons (2014-16), with the most coming in 2016 when he posted 111 stops. He added three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries over that span, totaling 16.5 tackles for loss as well. Jones is a three-time All-GLIAC Second Team performer and added an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention honor his freshman campaign.

Saginaw Valley has two current players on NFL rosters, as Jeff Heath will enter his sixth season playing for the Dallas Cowboys while Jeff Janis preps for his first campaign with the Cleveland Browns after playing his first four with the Green Bay Packers.
