Preview

The SVSU football team travels to Hillsdale for a match-up with the Chargers on Saturday (11/1) afternoon at Frank "Muddy" Waters Stadium.  

Last Saturday (10/25) night, the Cardinals defeated rival Northwood by a score of 16-14 in the 40th annual Axe Bowl.  SVSU was led offensively by quarterback Tyler Palka who finished with 261 total yards and one touchdown.  Scott Stanford would make three field goals for the Cardinals.  Defensively, Sloan Klaski finished with eight total tackles while Caleb Higbie finished with 2 total tackles and one interception.

The Chargers are 2-6 overall and 2-5 in GLIAC play this year.  Hillsdale has lost their last five games including a 31-24 loss to Tiffin last Saturday.  The Cardinals defeated the Chargers last year at Wickes Stadium by a score of 47-34.  Hillsdale defeated Saginaw Valley in the teams' last meeting in Hillsdale on October 20, 2012 by a final score of 34-17.
