Lake Erie tallied another scored with a touchdown to start the second half, but the Cardinal offense would respond with an 11-play, 73-yard drive that was capped off by a five-yard touchdown run by Jennings to put SVSU up 34-17.

Hogue posted his second touchdown of the game on a one-yard run up the middle to cap off a 10-play, 66-yard drive that extended the Cardinals lead to 41-17.

Jennings then found Janis on a short pass that Janis took to the house for a 73-yard touchdown after breaking a tackle.  Janis finished the contest with 12 catches for a school and conference record 300 yards and a score.
