Four Cardinal Football Players Travel To East Coast Bowl

PETERSBURG, Va. - Four seniors from the 2009 Saginaw Valley State University football team traveled to participate in the 2009 East Coast Bowl.  The East Coast Bowl is an annual college football All-Star game that features the most elite Division I-FCS, II, III, and NAIA college football players from across the Mid-Atlantic region.  The game is held every year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving at Cameron Field in Petersburg, Virginia.  The SVSU players were members of the North team, which posted a 27-21 victory over the South.

Tight end Galen Stone, defensive tackle Rob Callaway, punter Kurtis Fournier, and offensive lineman Jordan DeRosia were all selected to participate in the game.  Stone had three receptions for 59 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown catch in the contest while Callaway had three tackles for the North squad.
