GLIAC -- Saginaw Valley State University sophomore catcher Todd Paperd has been named the GLIAC Baseball Player of the Week following his performance on the team's spring trip to Florida this past week. 

Paperd had a great week for the Cardinals on their spring trip to Florida this past week. Paperd went 7-for-13 at the plate, hitting .538 with a slugging percentage of .846. He had two triples, three RBI and walked once for Saginaw Valley. Todd leads the Cards with a .476 batting average this season and ranks fourth in the league with that mark.

SVSU returns to action on the road this weekend for a three-game series at Seton Hill before beginning GLIAC play at Ashland Mar. 20-22.
