Saginaw Valley State University starting pitcher Scott Sency has been selected as an Academic All-District Four honoree for the 2015 season.
Sency, a junior from Medina, Ohio, had a great year on the mound for the Cardinals. He posted a 5-3 overall record, including a 2.32 ERA with 35 strikeouts in his 50.1 innings pitched. Sency's 2.32 ERA ranked him third in the GLIAC. He was voted to the All-GLIAC Second Team by the league's head coaches.
Off the field, Sency maintains a 3.89 cumulative GPA as an accounting major. He will now be eligible for the CapitalOne Academic All-America Team, which will be announced later in May.
