BAY CITY - SVSU redshirt freshman starting pitcher Michael Ellenbest has been tabbed as the GLIAC North Division's "Pitcher of the Week" for the second consecutive time.

Ellenbest ran his scoreless innings streak to 26.0 innings, working 6.0 innings of shutout ball in a 5-0 Cardinal victory in the first game of a Sunday doubleheader at Northwood University.  He allowed just three hits while striking-out seven batters.  Ellenbest ranks fourth in the GLIAC with 54 strikeouts and 9.92 strikeouts-per-game.  

Saginaw Valley hosts Cleary University Tuesday (Apr. 28) in a single, nine-inning contest that will begin at 3:00 p.m.  The Cardinals then travel to play Walsh University in a four-game series in Ohio over the weekend.
