2012: Appeared in six contests for the Cardinals coming out of the bullpen...excelled in the latter part of the season and he gave up just two earned runs in 10.1 innings of relief as he tallied a 1.74 earned run average, third best on the team...gave up just six hits in 10.1 innings with four strikeouts and opponents batted just .150 against him...will be a force out of the pen next year for SVSU.

Prior to SVSU/Personal: Prepped at West Catholic High School...transferred from Central Michigan University...went 6-3 in 60 1/3 innings at Grand Rapids Community College...senior year of high school finished with a 7-1 record and 1.50 ERA...earned all-city recognition...earned Dean's list recognition at GRCC...majoring in business...son of Marc and Joann Wierenga...born 9/22/89.
