UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University sophomore pitcher Carson Beauchaine (Fraser, Mich.) has been named to the 2011 National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association Midwest Region Second Team.
Beauchaine finished the season with a 6-4 record in 10 starts. He led the team with a 2.21 era while tossing team-high 61.0 innings, striking-out a team-best 48 batters and holding opponents to a team-best .238 batting average He was selected to the All-GLIAC First Team as a starting pitcher.
