Game 1

The Cardinals' lone run came in the top of the sixth inning when Matt Hunt (Howell, Mich./Concordia University) singled-in Eric Burt (Saginaw, Mich./Heritage HS), who reached on a bunt single.

The Cardinals would answer with a couple runs in the bottom of the seventh, Ryan Ermers (Sterling Heights, Mich./Henry Ford II HS) and Hunt each had RBI base hits, with Ermers' being a double. A late rally would fall short, though, as the tying run was thrown out at the plate and West Chester came away with a 5-4 victory.
