BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State juniors
Charlie Thomas (Northville, Mich.), Devin Dore (Bay City, Mich.)
and Ryan Webber (Clio, Mich.) have been named All-GLIAC, the
conference office announced recently.
Thomas was named to 2nd Team All Conference for the outfield,
while Dore and Webber were named honorable mention all conference
at second base and catcher, respectively.
Thomas led the Cardinals in slugging percentage (.522), hits (57),
RBI (38) and total bases (83). He was also tied for the lead in
homeruns (5) with Webber and junior Josh Peterson (Midland, Mich.).
Thomas was #2 in batting average (.358), had a .434 on base
percentage, good for second on the team and was tied for second on
the team with 11 doubles.
Dore lead the Cardinals with a .381 batting average, at one point
in the season hitting lights out with an average above .400. His
.438 slugging percentage was good enough for fourth on the team,
while his .467 slugging percentage led the team. His 40 hits, as
well as his 22 runs scored were good enough for fifth on the team.
His 14 stolen bases were good enough for second on the team.
Webber’s .327 batting average was good enough for third on
the team, while he ranked second in slugging percentage (.484), his
50 hits and 37 RBI were good enough for second place. Behind the
plate, Webber ranked fourth for fielding percentage (.996), had 216
put outs, and caught 18 runners trying to steal.
