Peter Lin - Swimming & Diving
Peter Lin (Mississauga, Ontario / Streetsville Secondary School) took first for the Cardinals in all of the individual races he competed in on Saturday's dual meet against Valparaiso at the Gerstacker Regional Aquatic Center. Lin landed at first in the 1000 yard freestyle with a mark of 10:02.54, in the 200 yard backstroke at 2:00.24 and the 200 yard freestyle at 1:44.01.
SVSU's swimming and diving teams compete in their last meet of the year at the Cleveland State Invitational Friday (Nov. 20) through Sunday (Nov. 22).
Kelly Vellucci - Volleyball
Kelly Vellucci (Livonia, Mich. / Stevenson HS) had a match-high 26 digs, 40 assists and added a two blocks on Friday's (Nov. 13) match against Grand Valley, helping the Cardinals to their 3-1 victory. SVSU fell to Ferris State on Saturday's match, where Vellucci posted 46 assists and added 18 digs and six kills.
The Cardinals compete again on Tuesday at Hillsdale in the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals.
