Damon Bozeman - Men's Basketball
Damon Bozeman (Detroit, Mich. / Madison Heights HS) scored eight points, three rebounds, two steals and an assist to help the Cardinals defeat Wisconsin-Parkside in the NCAA Midwest Regional Semifinals on March 13. Bozeman led SVSU at the Regional Championship against Ferris last Wednesday, March 15, posting a game-high 14 points. He also added seven boards, an assist and a steal.
Men's basketball will play Western Oregon in the Elite Eight for Division II NCAA Tournament in Texas on Wednesday, March 23 at 9:30 pm Eastern Time.
Shelby Weeks - Softball
Shelby Weeks (Warren, Mich. / Woods Tower HS) was named the GLIAC Softball Player of the Week last Sunday, March 14 after her performance during SVSU's spring trip to Clermont, Flordia. She batted .500 during the spring break trip, hit three home runs, knocked-in 16 runs, had four doubles, a triple, four walks and scored a dozen runs for the Cards.
SVSU will host Aquinas in their home opener for the season on Tuesday, March 21 in a double header beginning at 4:00 pm.
