Cheritee Green (Wyoming Park, Mich./Wyoming Park HS), a junior forward on the SVSU women's basketball team, led the Cardinals in scoring over the weekend at the UIndy Thanksgiving Classic. Green posted 16 points and 11 rebounds off the bench against Indianapolis on Friday (Nov. 25), while recording 14 points and eight rebounds in the team's first win of the year over Marian (Ind.) on Saturday (Nov. 26). Cheritee leads the team in scoring at 10.2 points per game while shooting 53.3 percent (16-for-30) through four games this season. Green is also second on the team in rebounding at 7.2 boards per contest.

The Cardinals open their conference schedule at home on Thursday (Dec. 1) when they host Lake Superior State University for a 6:00 PM start.
