Cardinals fall to Quincy in final Regional Crossover match

HAMMOND, Ind. - The Saginaw Valley State University volleyball team dropped its final match of the Regional Crossover Tournament to the Quincy University Hawks on Saturday at the Hammond Sportsplex. Quincy won in straight sets, with all three sets ending in a 25-20 score. SVSU drops to 12-7 overall on the season.

Rylee Zimmer had 10 kills for the Cardinals while Madison Thompson finished with eighteight. Peyton Gerstacker added a match-high 32 assists. Maria Vukaj recorded 11 digs while Kelsey Vittitow had 10. 

Leading the Hawks was Emily Rehagen with 14 kills.

SVSU travels to Wayne State University for a GLIAC match at 4 pm next Saturday in Detroit.
