Tennis Starts GLIAC Season with Win at Michigan Tech

HOUGHTON, MICH. – The Saginaw Valley State University tennis team defeated Michigan Tech 5-2 on the road Friday to begin the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) season 1-0 for the 2024 Spring season. It is the first victory over the Huskies since the 2017-18 season.

Adriana Barrio Garcia De Leaniz and Tara Erler won their number one doubles matches along with both of their singles matches a one and two. Amelia Dickson and Elizabeth Stuart won the number two doubles. Dickson also won her singles matchup in the five spot. Johanna Michahelles collected the fifth point with her win in number three singles.
