Dominic Suliman Earns All-America on Final Day of Indoor National Championships

PITTSBURG, Kan. – The 2024 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships wrapped on Saturday with six members of the Saginaw Valley State University track and field team competing.

Dominic Suliman highlighted day two for the Cardinals as he earned three points toward the men's team total when he was crowned All-America in the mile with a sixth-place finish after a time of 4:19.93.

Ryan Brenner completed the men's heptathlon in 11th with a total score of 5,135. Brenner finished top-ten in four of the seven events including a best finish of fifth in the shot put with a heave of 14.21m.

The women's 4x400 relay event served as the finale of the meet. The SVSU team of Trinity Greer, Cassandra Campbell, Sophia Thelen, and Alona Olshevska finished 12th overall with a time of 3:46.19.

UP NEXT

The SVSU track and field team will take a few weeks off from competition before beginning the outdoor season on Saturday, March 23 when they travel to Indiana Wesleyan in Marion, Indiana.
