ALLENDALE, Mich. - Three Saginaw Valley State University athletes traveled to Grand Valley State University to compete in the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet. Lauren Buckner, Alexa Kieser, and Kailiee Sandoval all made the trip. 

All three athletes set new personal records at their final meet before the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships next week in Allendale. Buckner and Keiser both hit NCAA Division II provisional marks in the 1500m run and the 3000m steeplechase respectivley. Both times were also new personals bests for the Lady Cards. Sandoval notched a new personal best in the 1500 finishing 16th place overall with a time of 4:42.16. Buckner finished in third place with a time of 4:23.54. Keiser finished her 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:37.87 in her first season competing in the event.
