UNIVERSITY CENTER, MICH. – Saginaw Valley State University senior pitcher Emily Depew claimed her fourth Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Pitcher of the Week award this season. The Lowell, Michigan native won the award last week as well as in weeks seven and eight this year.

Depew allowed just four hits in three appearances as she led the Cardinals to three wins inside the circle. Depew threw her fourth career no-hitter in game one of the doubleheader versus Ferris State to help SVSU sweep the Bulldogs and clinch a share of the GLIAC Regular Season Championship. She currently leads the GLIAC with 18 wins and 161 strikeouts.

SVSU earned the number two seed in the GLIAC Softball Tournament that begins this Thursday, May 2. The Cardinals will play their first game on Friday, May 3 at 2:30 PM EST against the winner of No. 4 Ferris State vs. No. 5 Wayne State.
