UNIVERSITY CENTER, MICH. – Saginaw Valley State University softball pitcher Emily Depew was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week on Monday afternoon.

The senior from Lowell, Michigan had another impressive week as she earned two wins for the Cardinals. She went 13.0 innings and recorded 14 strikeouts. She held batters to 10-48 for the week including 3-21 against left-handed batters and 7-27 against right-handers. Wayne State was held to 2-11 with runners on, while GVSU bats went 4-14 in the same situation.

The Cardinals will begin a three-game road trip this Wednesday, April 10 at Davenport with the first pitch scheduled for 3:00 PM EST.
