UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team stayed undefeated on the season with a win and tie last weekend in Midland.

Jonathan Monney led the Cardinal offense with two goals, including one against Tiffin University in a 3-0 win on Friday. Monney added his fifth goal of the season in a 3-3 tie against rival Northwood University on Sunday.

For his efforts, Monney was named the GLAIC Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. The award is the second straight for SVSU after Elliot Nottoli earned the honor last week. 

Monney recorded nine total shots in the two games, including six against Northwood. The Cardinals are 3-0-1 heading into GLIAC play starting this week.

The Cardinals host Purdue Northwest at 4 pm on Friday at the SVSU IM Field.
