Tim Inman
Title: Special Assistant to the Head Coach

Tim Inman joined the Cardinal coaching staff in January 2023 as a volunteer special assistant to the head coach. His responsibilities include organizing various administrative aspects for the program, including fundraising, event management, program marketing and communications, sponsorships, social media/website, and graphic design for team apparel and the team locker room. Among the most visible projects Inman recently completed are the design of the basketball court and the championship banners in the James E. O’Neill Jr. Arena in the Ryder Center.

The Cardinals finished the 2022-23 season at 9-9 in the GLIAC, earning a six seed in the GLIAC tournament, falling to eventual champion Northern Michigan. Three Cardinals earned All-GLIAC honors: Freddie McIntosh (All-GLIAC Second Team), Tre Garrett (All-Defensive and All-GLIAC Second Team), and Kevonne Taylor (All-Defensive Team). Garrett broke program records for free throw makes and attempts in a single season. Taylor led the Midwest Region, and was 8th in the country in Division II, in blocks per game.

Prior to joining the coaching staff, Inman worked for SVSU in the Office of University Communications. He retired from that role in December 2022 after 38 years. Also during his SVSU career, Inman was an adjunct instructor of English and he served as an assistant coach under Robert Pratt for four years. Outside of SVSU, he coached at the junior college and high school levels in the Saginaw area. Inman completed his Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts from SVSU.

Inman and his wife, Amy, have two adult sons, Lucas and Joshua. His retirement hobbies include camping, golfing, and bicycling.
