UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – For the second time this season, Saginaw Valley State University senior forward Tyler Witz has earned the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division Player of the Week honors.

Witz led the Cardinals to a pair of wins last week, averaging 21 points per game. In a home win over Wayne State University on Thursday, Witz was 8-of-11 from the field for 22 points, adding nine rebounds.

The Clearwater, Fla., native scored 20 points in just 18 minutes of action at Northwood University on Saturday. Witz is averaging 13.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game this season.

The Cardinals are 15-7 overall and 9-5 in the GLIAC. SVSU welcomes the University of Wisconsin-Parkside at 8 pm Thursday at the James E. O'Neill Jr. Arena.
