Football to Host Annual Red Feather Spring Game on April 15

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University football team will host the 2nd Annual Red Feather Spring Game on Saturday, April 15 at 1:00 p.m. The game will take place inside Harvey Randall Wickes Memorial Stadium with a weather forecast of sunny and 74 degrees.

Along with the spring game, the Cardinal football squad will host a free Youth Day Experience that will take place the morning prior to the spring game. Youths ages 5-17 are invited to participate. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the festivities starting at 10:45 a.m.

The first 300 youth to register that morning will receive a free t-shirt. Free hot dogs will also be handed out along with free admission to the game. Participants will get to enter the stadium through the Cardinal head just like the players where they will get to meet SVSU players and coaches, get autographs and photos, and listen to multiple guest speakers on the importance of character and leadership.

Various drills and contests will also happen as part of the Youth Day Experience. A punt/pass & kick contest, tackling station, touchdown shake drill, touchdown pass routes on air, and a diving catch station will be available for all participants.
