UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – For the fourth time this year, Saginaw Valley State University kicker/punter Connor Luksic has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
Luksic drilled a 48-yard field goal, a season-high for the Springboro, Ohio native, in a win over Wayne State University at home on Saturday. He finished the game 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts and 5-for-5 on extra points.
In addition, Luksic punted four times, landing three inside the 20-yard line, helping the Cardinals maintain control of field position throughout the game.
SVSU hits the road this week for a GLIAC contest at Davenport University at noon on Saturday in Caledonia, Mich.
