Brandon Evans enters his second season as part of the SVSU baseball coaching staff. Evans serves as the Co-Recruiting Coordinator and will work with the hitters/outfielders on the player development side.

In his first year with the Cardinals, Evans helped develop three All-Conference Outfielders (Jaccar Watkins, Reed Raymond & Colin Cornwell. He played a key role in helping the offense finish the year with a batting average of .300 and an average of 6.7 runs per game. Cardinal hitters also set the school record for triples with 23 on the season. On top of the All-GLIAC honors, (Jaccar) Watkins broke the school individual record with 8 triples. The Cardinals had the highest win total & run differential improvements in the GLIAC during the 2023 season. These improvements helped SVSU achieve its best season since 2007 and highest finish in GLIAC play in over 15 years.

Evans joins SVSU from Delta College where he served as Recruiting Coordinator and Hitting Coach for the Pioneers. In his short time at Delta, Evans was instrumental in bringing in the largest recruiting class in school history and assisting numerous players advance to the next level.

Before his time at Delta College, Evans pitched at Rochester University from 2017-2021 and also played for the Saginaw Sugar Beets of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. While at Rochester, he received his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management.
