UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University Interim Director of Athletics Angela Pohl announced the hiring of Fahd Jindani as the new Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance/Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at SVSU. Jindani will officially begin his duties on March 6, 2023.

"The hiring of Fahd Jindani marks a new era for Cardinal Athletics sports performance," said Pohl. "Coach Jindani comes from a well-respected program at Vanderbilt University, and he will elevate our student-athletes performance, focus, and grit. Our Cardinals love to train, and it will be matched by Coach Jindani's passion, energy, and knowledge. His leadership will have an immediate and positive impact in the Herremans' Family Weight Room."

Jindani joins the Cardinal staff from NCAA Division I Vanderbilt University where he served as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach for the Commodores since 2017. "It's an honor and a privilege to be joining the Cardinal family as the next Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Performance and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach," said Jindani. "I would like to thank Angela Pohl for giving me the opportunity and responsibility to lead the Strength and Conditioning Program. You become a coach because you love to teach, and you love to make a difference in young men's and women's lives. That is exactly who I am, who I have been, and who I will be as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.  My wife and I could not be more excited for this next chapter of our lives."

Prior to his most recent position, Jindani was a graduate assistant at NCAA Division III Springfield College in Massachusetts where he served as the Head Strength and Conditioning coach for football, women's lacrosse, women's soccer, baseball, and track and field jumpers and hurdlers.

In addition, Jindani completed several internships at various levels of collegiate athletics including NCAA DI University of Iowa and College of Holy Cross, DIII Springfield, and Christopher Newport University.
