Women's Golf 5th after 18 holes at SVSU Fall Invitational

BAY CITY -- The SVSU Women's Golf team opened the 2019-20 season by hosting round one of the SVSU Fall Invitational on Saturday. The Cardinals sit in fifth place after 18 holes, carding a team score of 318 at the Saginaw Valley Public Golf Course.

Saginaw Valley sits one stroke behind fourth place Northwood University. Wayne State leads the tournament after shooting a 306. Lake Superior State is second with a 310 and Ferris State third with a score of 312.

Alexa Marston had the low round for the Cards on Saturday, shooting a 78 to sit in a tie for 10th place overall. 

Emily Barker and Emily O'Brien each carded a round of 79 and are in a tie for 14th place in the tournament.

Sabrina Coffman is tied for 28th place after a round of 82.

Shelbe Cahill posted a score of 86 as the last player competing. 

The Cardinal 'B' squad is in eighth place after shooting a 336, with Olivia Pumford shooting a 79. Keegan Miller and Katie Boyd each carded an 82 while Courtney Nunneley had a score of 93.
