Women's Golf finishes 6th at Perry Park Spring Fling

PERRY PARK, Ky. -- The Saginaw Valley State University Women's Golf team posted a sixth place finish on Sunday after competing in the second and final round of the 2019 Perry Park Spring Fling in Kentucky. 

The Cardinals shot a second round score of 328, following up a Saturday 311 to finish three strokes behind DePauw University. The University of Findlay won the tournament, turning in a two-day total score of 609 to win by five strokes over Missouri-St. Louis. 

Annika Neumann finished as the low golfer for the Cards, carding scores of 74-80 and finishing in 14th place overall. 

Emily Barker had an 82 on day two, coupling that with her 79 on the first day to tie for 36th overall. Keegan Miller tied for 29th overall after posting scores of 77-83 on the weekend.

Alexa Marston shot rounds of 81-83 while Jenna Pepper carded scores of 88-92 for the Cardinals.
