SVSU Women tied for 4th after opening round of Perry Park Spring Fling

PERRY PARK, Ky. -- The Cardinal Women's Golf team is tied for 4th place overall after the opening round of the Perry Park Spring Fling in Kentucky. Saginaw Valley shot an opening round score of 311 in the opening 18 holes of action.

The Cardinals are tied in the 4th place slot with the University of Findlay. Missouri-St. Louis leads after round one, posting a final score of 305 in the first round.

Annika Neumann led the way for SVSU, carding a first round score of 74 (+2). She is in a tie for 4th place individually.

Keegan Miller had a score of 77 after 18 holes, sitting in a tie for 16th place overall. Emily Barker is in a tie for 29th place after her round of 79 while Alexa Marston posted an 81. 

Jenna Pepper shot an 88 in her first round.

The team continues action on Sunday, looking to make a move up the leaderboard. SVSU tees-off at 9:00 a.m. in the final round.
