Women's Golf 4th After Two Rounds at GLIAC Championships

NASHPORT, Ohio - The SVSU Women's Golf team improved by one place to move up to fourth at th 2018 GLIAC Championships after second round play at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio. 

The Lady Cardinals shaved 14 strokes off their first round score, posting a secound round 314 (642) to sit 13 strokes behind 3rd-ranked Tiffin. GVSU leads the event with a two-round score of 607. 

Sabrina Coffman led a charge of three players in the 70s for SVSU, shooting a 76. She is in a tie for 7th place after her two-day total of 153 (+9). Emily Barker shaved seven strokes off her first round score, posting a Saturday 77 and she sits in a tie for 20th after her 161. Shelbe Cahill had a 79 on Saturday for SVSU, bringing her to a tie for 36th overall. Annika Neumann is in a tie for 36th with her after her second round score of 82. Both of them sit at 169 overall. Alexa Marston had an 84 in round two, putting her in 28th place after her opening round score of 80 on Friday. 

The Cardinals will finish competition for the championships on Sunday from Ohio.
