GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Cardinal Women's Golf Team sits in 6th place after the opening round of the SVSU Spring Invitational, posting a score of 322. Three Cardinals posted a score of 80 for the low rounds of the day. 

Sabrina Coffman, Emily Barker and Alexa Marston all carded an 80 (+8) after 18 holes of play. They all sit in a tie for 19th place after that score. Shelbe Cahill had an 82 (+10), sitting in a tie for 36th place. Katie Boyd had an 83 (+11) in competition for the Cardinals as well.

The Cardinals continue for round two of the tournament at the Cherry Blossom Golf Club. Sunday's play will feature a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start.
