Despite a 14-14 tie after the opening quarter and a strong third quarter, the Lady Cardinals dropped a 67-56 decision in a tough road matchup in GLIAC North Divison action.

Alex Green got the game started with a made jumper at the 9:38 marker of the first quarter and Halee Nieman got SVSU back out front with a pair of free throws to make the score 6-5 in the visitors' advantage.

Trailing 14-12, Anna Hall made a layup to make the score 14-14 for the fourth tie after the SV lead, which is where the score would stand after the opening 10 minutes of play.

Tech would grab the lead from there and carry a 32-24 lead into the halftime break.

Grace Whelan converted a three-point play at the 2:17 mark to make the score 46-41 in Tech's favor and a Danielle Carriere triple and jumper that ended the frame made the score 50-46 with the Huskies leading.

SVSU outscored the Huskies by a 22-18 count in the third quarter.
