BAY CITY -- SVSU senior track & field student-athlete Taylor Stepanski has been selected as the GLIAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after her performance this past weekend at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic.

Stepanski sealed a trip to the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships after her performance at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic over the weekend. She posted an automatic qualifying mark in the 1,500 meters, finishing with a time of 4:23.37 that ranks 5th nationally and 2nd in the GLIAC. She added a provisional qualifying mark in the 800 meters with a time of 2:08.63, which is the top time in the league and 10th-best in the nation. 

The team is back in action this weekend, traveling to the GVSU Al Owens Invite on Friday and Saturday in Allendale.
