Cardinal Divers Impress at GVSU Invite

ALLENDALE -- The Saginaw Valley State University divers competed on Saturday (Feb. 1) at the Grand Valley State University Invite. There were some stellar performances all-around for the Cards as they tune-up for the 2020 GLIAC Championships. 

Justin Ott placed 1st in the one meter event, racking up 447.05 points and breaking the 11 dive program record in the process. 

Libby Caird took 2nd in both the one meter and three meter events, posting scores of 436.85 and 466.40, respectively. She is now the three meter record holder for the 11 dive event and her one meter 11 dive score broke her own record she set earlier this season. 

Megan LaFollette posted a score of 404.25 in the one meter event and 413.15 in the three meter. 

Adelaide Spencer had a mark of 343.70 in the one meter and 339.15 in the three meter. 

Ott, Caird and Lafollette have now all qualified for the 2020 NCAA Division II National Dive-in Meet.
