Jacob Heckman joined the SVSU Athletic Training staff in February 2020 as an assistant athletic trainer. He came to Saginaw Valley State University after serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Alderson Broaddus University from August 2018 to January 2020.
A native of Montague, MI, Heckman graduated from Central Michigan University in 2015 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. He went on to earn his Master's of Science degree in Athletic Training from the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, MI.
Heckamn has been a BOC certified athletic trainer since 2018. He holds memberships in the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association and the Michigan Athletic Trainers' Society.
