MIDLAND, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University softball team opens play Friday (May 7) at the 2010 GLIAC SoftballTournament in Midland, Mich.  The #6 Cardinals open against the #3 Northwood Timberwolves in a 10:00 am match-up.  The Cardinals are also ranked #5 in the most current NCAA Division II Midwest Region Poll.  The top eight teams make the Regional Tournament.
