Cardinals Slayed by Dragons, 3-0

TIFFIN, Ohio - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team fell to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Tiffin University today (Oct. 21) 3-0.

The Cardinals went down 0-1 at 23:33 mark when the Dragons scored the only goal of the half off a cross from the left side of the field.  Saginaw Valley fell behind 0-2 in the second half when Tiffin's Adam Fussell scored from 30 yards out.  The Dragons ended the scoring on the day when they went up 3-0 with just four minutes left in the match-up.

Saginaw Valley had three shots in the second half of play but were unable to capitalize on any of them.  Senior Anthony Palazzolo (Warren, Mich./De La Salle HS) had one shot on goal for the Cardinals.

With the loss Saginaw Valley falls to 8-6-2 overall on the season, and 4-5-2 in the GLIAC, while Tiffin improves to 8-5-1 overall on the season, and 5-3-1 in the GLIAC.  The Cardinals will be back in action on Saturday (Oct. 23) when they travel to Findlay, Ohio for a GLIAC match-up.  Game time is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
