AUGUSTA -- The Cardinal Men's Golf team finished in 4th place over the weekend at the 2019 Davenport Panther Invitational, putting together rounds of 294-291 to finish with a 585 total. Wayne State finished third with a 570 while Ashland won by three strokes over GVSU with a 561. 

Jared Lyons, Alex Dice and Mitch Hughes all ended up tying for 18th place overall with a two-day score of 146. Hughes and Dice had scores of 74-72 while Lyons carded twin scores of 73-73. Gunnar Stein rounded-out the team's scoring on Sunday with a 74, pairing that with a 73 on Saturday to finish tied for 24th place overall. Brady Dice shot rounds of 74-77. 

Brendon Gouin who had a low round of 71 on Saturday, shot a 70 on SUnday to finish with a final tally of 141. He tied for 5th place overall competing as an individual. Wyatt Liston had rounds of 80-80 as an individual as well. 

That concludes the 2019 fall schedule for the Cardinals, who will be on the spring trip Feb. 29 - March 7 in Brooksville, Florida.
