Men's Golf 13th after 18 holes at Motor City Invitational

DEARBORN -- The Saginaw Valley State University Men's Golf team opened play on Sunday at the 2019 Motor City Invitational, held at TPC Dearborn. SVSU shot a score of 332 and is in 13th place through 18 holes.

The Cardinals sit three strokes behind Lake Superior State and Malone. Host Wayne State leads after a day one score of 294, 11 strokes clear of Findlay.

Gunnar Stein had the low round for the Cards, shooting a five-over score of 77. He is tied fo 15th place overall.

Jared Lyons and Brady Dice each posted a score of 83 while Brendon Gouin capped the scoring for SVSU with an 89. 

Saginaw Valley is in action for round two in Dearborn on Monday, with the teams having a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.
