SOUTH HAVEN -- The Cardinal Men's Golf team sits in fifth place after 18 holes of action at the 2019 HawksHead Invitational, played at the HawksHead Golf Links in South Haven.

Saginaw Valley shot a 305, which is one stroke behind Davenport. Wayne State leads with a -14 total of 274 and Ferris State is second with a total of five under par. Northwood sits in third place with a count of 290. 

Scores

• Jared Lyons had the low round for the Cards, posting a 75 on the Par 72, 6,998 yard layout. He is tied for 16th place overall. 
• Alex Dice carded a 76 (+4) and is tied for 20th place overall for SV.
• Mitch Hughes and Brady Dice rounded-out the team's scoring with rounds of 77 (+5). 
• Gunnar Stein is tied for 30th overall after his first round 78.
