Cardinals round-out fall schedule at Motor City Invitational

DEARBORN -- The Cardinal Men's Golf team finished its competition for the fall 2018 season at the 2018 Motor City Invitational, hosted by Wayne State University. After delays forced the second round to trickle over into Monday, the tournament finished on Monday afternoon.

SVSU finished in 11th place overall for the tournament, shooting rounds of 324-318 to finish with a 642 total after battling tough conditions. Findlay won the tournament, posting an overall team score of 610 and winning by two strokes over Bellarmine. 

Gunnar Stein was the low man for the Cardinals in the two-day event, shooting rounds of 75-80 to finish +11. He tied for 16th place overall.

Next was Dustin Pumford, who had the low round of 77 in round two and finished with a 161 (+17) to tie for 39th place.

Jared Lyons (82-80) tied for 44th place while Brady Dice (83-81) finished in a tie for 54h overall.

Alex Dice had rounds of 85-84 and tied for 71st in the event.

Up Next...

Saginaw Valley is now finished with the fall 2018 season. The Cardinals are off until their spring trip, which begins March 2 in Brooksville, Florida.
