TIFFIN, Ohio -- The Cardinal Men's Golf team rounded-out play on Tuesday at the 2018 Kyle Ryman Memorial tournament with a third place overall finish. SVSU posted a third round score of 299, which gave them an 878 overall after Monday's scores of 292-287.

Saginaw Valley finished five strokes behind runner-up Findlay and nine behind tournament host and champion Tiffin. The third-place finish is the third top-five showing for the team this season in just four events. 

Gunnar Stein finished 5th overall in the event, posting a three-day total of 217 (+1) with rounds of 74-68-75. Stein now has two top-five finishes on the 2018 campaign. 

Alex Dice had the low score of the third round with a one-over 73. He finished tied for 13th overall with rounds of 74-76-73 (+7). Jared Lyons tied for 13th overall as well, carding scores of 71-73-79 for the 223 total. 

Dustin Pumford was the second-best finisher for the tournament, tying for 10th place with a +5 score of 221 (73-72-76). It is his second top-10 showing of the season so far. 

Brady Dice played in his second event for the Cardinals, finishing tied for 21st overall with a 227 (+11) after scores of 78-74-75. He matched the second-best score for the team in Tuesday's round.

Saginaw Valley finishes the 2018 fall season this upcoming weekend at the Motor City Invitational. The tournament will take place Sunday (Oct. 14) and Monday (Oct. 15) at TPC Michigan in Dearborn, Michigan.
