Saginaw Valley State

Eric Brookhouse enters his seventh season in 2019-20 serving as the Director of Athletic Communications for the Saginaw Valley State University Athletic Department.

He is responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Communications Office.  Those responsibilities will include: the creation and dissemination of press releases, updating and maintaining the school's athletic website, social media, media relations and assisting with home game management, among others.

Brookhouse previously worked in the SVSU Athletic Media Relations Office, serving as the Athletic Media Relations Intern during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 academic school years.  During his prior appointment with the Cardinals, he was the main contact for several sports, including: Volleyball, Women's Soccer, Golf, Women's Basketball and Baseball.  Brookhouse assisted with all of the other varsity sports during his tenure as well.

Prior to his work at SVSU, Brookhouse served as the Media Relations Intern at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for the 2008-09 season.  While at the GLIAC, he assisted with all of the Media Relations efforts for the conference office and was instrumental in the planning, promotion and execution of several GLIAC Championships.

Brookhouse is a 2009 graduate of Northwood University, where he graduated with bachelor's degrees in Entertainment, Sport and Promotion Management and Business Management. He was a student-athlete for the Timberwolves as well, playing baseball for three seasons. He currently resides in Linwood, Michigan.
