Zanellato joined the SVSU football program in March 2019. He enters his third year on the Cardinal coaching staff in 2021. 

SVSU had three wide receivers earn All-GLIAC honors under Zanellato in 2021. Casey Williams earned First Team All-GLIAC honors  after recording 40 receptions for 598 yards and four touchdowns. It was the second straight season Williams earned All-GLIAC recognition. Landing Second Team All-GLIAC accolades was Isaiah Johnson-Mack. He caught 44 passes for 561 yards and four touchdowns on the year. Chad Gailliard was named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC. It was the fourth time Gailliard earned All-GLIAC honors in his career. 

During the 2019 season, he coached Chad Gailliard, who led SVSU and the GLIAC with 10 touchdowns and 853 yards receiving. Gailliard also ranked second with 77.5 yards per game and 48 receptions and earned First Team All-GLIAC honors as well as being named to the Don Hansen All-Super Region Three Third Team. Zanellato also coached Casey Williams to Second Team All-GLIAC honors as well as leading the league in yards per game with 81.3. 

Zanellato, a former wide receiver at Penn State, spent the 2018 season with Division II Lock Haven where he served as the Wide Receiver’s Coach and Assistant Recruiting Coordinator. 

The passing game at Lock Haven saw significant improvements after Zanellato joined the staff, by quadrupling the number of receiving touchdowns, improving 53 spots in the National Passing Offense Rankings, and producing three players who earned post-season accolades. Jalen Jackson (All-American), Nysir Minney-Gratz (All-Region), and Bryan Greene (All-Conference) all had prolific seasons in 2018. 

While being responsible for recruiting District 3 (Harrisburg, Lancaster, York and Reading) in Pennsylvania and the Washington D.C. area, Zanellato led the entire Lock Haven staff by signing 16 prospects in the 2019 Signing. His signees included the first 8 recruits from the Washington D.C. area in Lock Haven Football history. 

He spent the 2017 season with Division I Western Michigan where he served as the special team’s quality control analyst.
 
Western Michigan finished the 2017 season ranked third in the nation (ESPN) among FBS schools in special team’s efficiency. 5^th Round Draft Pick (Cincinnati Bengals) defensive back Darius Phillips, two-time MAC Special Teams Player of the Year, was named a Mid-American Conference (MAC) First Team kickoff returner and Second Team punt returner after he set the FBS record for 12 Total Return Touchdowns.
 
Zanellato spent the 2016 season at Davenport University, serving as an offensive assistant and running backs coach. Davenport averaged 158.4 yards per game and scored 10 running touchdowns.
 
The former standout wide receiver at Lake Braddock Second School in Burke, Virginia, went on to a successful career at Penn State. The five-year scholarship athlete and four-year lettermen played in 39 games with the Nittany Lions including the Pin Stripe Bowl and Tax Slayer Bowl. 

Zanellato also had the privilege playing for all three coaching staffs during his tenure at Penn State. The late Joe Paterno (2011), current Houston Texan’s Head Coach Bill O’Brien (2012-2013) and current Penn State Head Coach James Franklin (2014-2015).
 
In high school, the former Virginia All-State selection caught 94 passes for 1,756 yards and 21 TDs as a senior. He was tabbed as a four-star recruit and ranked among the top-40 high school wide receivers in the nation as a senior.
 
Zanellato was an All-Big Ten Academic selection and during his senior year he was the recipient of Penn State football’s public service award.
