Isiah Dunning joined head coach Ryan Brady's coaching staff at SVSU in March, 2019. 

Dunning comes to SVSU from Butler University, where he spent a brief time on the Bulldog coaching staff. 

Before coaching at Butler, Dunning was a graduate assistant at Miami University (Ohio).
 
Dunning spent two seasons at Miami Ohio coaching the defensive line. While on campus, Dunning helped break down opponent’s run game and pass protections. He coordinated offensive scout team meetings and assisted with all functions surrounding recruiting.
 
The Redhawks recorded 29 sacks in 2018 and had one all-conference selection in Doug Costin. The year prior, Ikeem Allen was tabbed all-league.
 
Dunning has professional experiences with the Dallas Cowboys (2015 Mini-Camp), the Cleveland Gladiators (AFL – 2016), and the Bismarck Bucks (CIF – 2017).
 
He played football at Grand Valley State and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with an emphasis on sport leadership.
 
A four-year varsity letterwinner at Grand Valley State, Dunning was named Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2013 and was a pre-season All-American in 2014. The team captain earned all-conference honors and earned the Philip Shultz Leadership Award.
