BROOKFIELD, Ill. — The Don Hansen Football Committee has released the 2019 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-Super Region Three squad today (Jan. 8) and a pair of Cardinal Football student-athletes appear on the list once again.

Senior defensive tackle was named to the Don Hansen All-Super Region Three First Team at the defensive line position while junior wide receiver Chad Gailliard was listed on the third team. It marks the second straight season that Williams earned the First Team honor. Gailliard has now been on the team for the third straight year, being named to the first team in 2018 and the second team in 2017.

Heath, who was recently named a D2Football.com Second Team All-American, was the GLIAC Defensive Lineman of the Year and earned his second straight All-GLIAC First Team nod. He capped-off his Cardinal career with another stellar season in anchoring the SVSU defensive line. Garnering plenty of attention from opposing offenses, Williams racked-up 38 tackles, with five of those coming in the form of sacks and totaling 7.5 tackles-for-loss. Heath ranks third all-time in SVSU history with 22.5 sacks and is third in single season sacks with the 13 he collected in his junior campaign. The 39.5 tackles-for-loss he has posted in his career rank third all-time as well for the East Lansing native who has 135 career tackles. Williams became Saginaw Valley's second-ever GLIAC Defensive Lineman of the Year, with the only other being 1999 NFL first round draft pick Lamar King in the 1998 season.

Gailliard led the GLIAC with 10 touchdowns and 853 yards through the air. He ranked second with 77.5 yards per game and his 48 receptions. It marks the third straight season that Gailliard led the GLIAC in receiving yards. Chad is currently fifth all-time at SVSU with 2,792 yards, fourth with 153 catches and fifth with 30 touchdowns. He has been named to the All-GLIAC First Team all three years of his career so far.

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988. Don Hansen's Football Gazette began selecting Division II All-Region squads in 2003.

The first-team and second-team All-Region selections advance to a national ballot from which the 2019 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team will be selected.
